A household session

Set the table for study

Choose a week from the existing four-week family plan. Read together, allow every voice to pass, and finish with one specific practice. This guide does not collect anyone’s answers.

Choose a route to focus your session.

Week 1 · Hear and return

Hear and return

Read Deuteronomy 6:4–9 and Isaiah 55:6–9 in your preferred Bible.

  1. Read the weekly focus

What competes for our attention? What does returning look like this week?

  2. Review the ministry study approach

Begin with what the passage says before debating an application.

  3. Choose a companion study

Select a resource only after reading the passage itself.

Talk about it

What daily family reading time could we realistically keep?

Go a little deeper

Read both passages again. Invite each person to name one observation, one question, and one doable next step.

Week 2 · Justice and mercy

Justice and mercy

Read Micah 6:6–8 and Isaiah 1:16–18 in context.

  1. Return to the weekly readings

Where can we act justly at home?

  2. Find a related study

Keep the cited passage beside any commentary.

  3. Practice discernment

Check what is stated in the text and what is a teacher’s interpretation.

Talk about it

How can correction and mercy belong together?

Go a little deeper

Choose one small wrong to repair without excuses. Let the people involved decide what a safe repair looks like; no public sharing is needed.

Week 3 · Endurance under pressure

Endurance under pressure

Read Psalm 27 and James 1:2–5 together.

  1. Review the weekly focus

What is the difference between courage and pretending?

  2. Find a companion reading

Use the passage, not a frightening headline, as the starting point.

  3. Choose an optional teaching

A media resource supplements the household reading.

Talk about it

Whom can we ask for wisdom?

Go a little deeper

Create a calm pause-and-prayer routine. Keep it simple and give everyone permission to ask for help.

Week 4 · Build and remember

Build and remember

Read Joshua 4:1–7 and Matthew 7:24–27 in context.

  1. Review the final week

Which family testimony should be remembered?

  2. Continue with a text study

Compare remembrance with the practical foundation described in the readings.

  3. Choose the next household rhythm

Return to the twenty-minute outline and adapt it.

Talk about it

What foundation are our routines building?

Go a little deeper

On your own paper, write one remembrance and one next step. Keep family details private unless everyone concerned agrees to share them.

Choices stay in this page while it is open. Nothing is submitted or saved by this planner.
